Where will you be on April 19th?

Come to Norman, Oklahoma's 89er Day celebration on April 19th at Andrews Park. We will be out there selling our stuff with our new friends from Etsy!! Come by and say hi!

Little Birds

This week little birds will be flying into our shop! I have been painting little birds on wood which I will make into cute (if I may say so myself) little round magnets. A fun way to bring a little piece of art into your kitchen! -Marie

Jump!

This is the new picture on the front page of our website. I think we lost about 5 pounds each jumping today!

Sneak peak of our flat card designs

Finally! It has taken me so long to finish our flat card designs. Marie and I have been working on different sets, and it has been difficult to finish them with work and everything else. I finally was able to finish it today, and Jacque is bringing her photography talent over here tomorrow so that we can take pictures of them for our etsy shop. We will post some later tomorrow hopefully. Here is a sneak peak of our little images (we have text also to go along with them but I am not posting that yet). Oops, sorry for the large images. I can't seem to figure out how to post them smaller. I hope you like them though!

More marble push pins!

We have SO much fun coming up with new sets of push pins! The possibilties are endless! They will appear in our little shop this weekend some time. We will have a very cute and whimsical set, an orange (mostly orange) set (which I think is my favorite) and some other cool ones. We really hope you enjoy them!

Sales!

We have made a lot of sales in our little shop! Thanks for loving our stuff like we do!

I am going to try to focus on the stationary side of things and I'm working on some designs for mini cards right now. Malin suggested I take a piece of paper and pen with me everywhere I go, just like a musician. She's right! Great advice!

Flat cards coming your way

Well, we are sitting here in my computer room (Marie and I). We have been busy trying to put together sets of flat cards with envelopes. We are finished pretty much, but need to take some pictures of course. Each flat card will mesure about 4 X 5 inches. Each card will come with a white envelope, ready to be mailed off to your favorite friends and family! Right now, I think we will make them available as sets of 8.

Thumbtacks

Visit our etsy shop and check out some of the thumbtacks we have made! One set in particular is unique. Malin handpainted a set of nine marbles and made them into thumbtacks. I think they look adorable.

Some art prints up on etsy now

OK folks, here is the first set of prints of Marie's cats. Marie and I both have always loved cats and always will. She told me yesteday that since she realizes that not all people are cat people, she has started working on dog prints too. :) These are up on etsy now. They are both reproduction prints from two original acrylic paintings. The image measures approximately 4 X 6 inches on standard letter sized paper 8.5 X 11.5 inches. It is printed using an HP printer on a white heavy-weight matte paper for crisp text and contrasting colors. The image is centered leaving a white border for framing. They are quite adorable.

Check out the girlfriends

Do you remember when you were a little girl and you would hold hands with your friends? That is what inspired my "girlfriends" design. I've added note cards to the shop and I'll add gift tags soon.

This was my favorite clapping game in Kindergarten. I used to do it with my best friend Susan:

Cee Cee my playmate
Come out and play with me
And bring your dollies three
Climb up my apple tree
Slide down my rain barrel
Into the cellar door
And we'll b best of friends
Forever More! More!
Shut the door!

Cat prints DONE

Done! I finished my cat prints yesterday! I now have three ready and I am very excited! I hope to post them on etsy either today or tomorrow. I love painting cats and it has been difficult to put my paintbrush down. Cats keep me happy! MEOW

Girlfriends

I am working on some notecards today. I've got two themes in mind. One is "girlfriends" the other is dragonflies. It's amazing how much trial and error there is before you get something to turn out just the way you want it. I've got a big pile of paper here with little drawings and prints. I think I've got it now though. I'll post something new soon!

I am currently working on print number two... I am very excited! Gotta go! Gotta paint! =)

Prints coming this weekend

My first post!!! This past week has been a roller coaster! It's so exciting to be on etsy and see how creative people are. It's easy to get addicted to that website... I am pretty excited about this weekend. Marie is working on a set of 3 prints. We will post them individually, but if someone wants a set, that could certainly be arranged. I was looking for the right paper for a while, but I think I found something that will work really well. If someone has suggestions what paper to print on, that wold be very appreciated.

I am working on some pretty fun prints as well; colorful and fun. I seem to like color a lot. If you look at the placques I have made or the three clocks that have been up for sale (two are still up in the shop, but one was sold - thanks!), you will see that the color pops! Making colorful things put me in a great mood, so I choose to make colorful things. Check back this weekend, and we should have some of these prints up for everyone to look at!
